The right label design and content can keep you compliant and help you you sell your products.<\/p>\n

Cosmetic labels help consumers distinguish between brands and whether a product is eye shadow, lip stick or face cream. The cosmetic label also allows the manufacturer to draw attention from the consumer with a unique and catchy design with the goal of course being for consumers to buy and try their product. The concept seems simple however, cosmetics that are distributed in the U.S., for example, must adhere to labeling standards created by FDA under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act).<\/p>\n

As such, there are several pieces of information that need to be included on cosmetic labels, including but not limited to:<\/p>\n

  • Brand name & possibly some imagery<\/li>\n
  • Net quantity of contents<\/li>\n
